See the comparison?? Okay, okay, so it isn't really that they LOOK alike, but listen. I think they sound an awful lot alike.
I'm not just trying to bash on her, I think she's talented, but lately she kinda gives me the creeps. I know she doesn't really talk like that, so it's just this fake Gollum voice she uses, and her music gets very redundant from one song to the next.
A little while back, I thought that creep James Blunt sounded a little like Gollum, but today it hit me. She is Gollum! She definitely should have performed 'Gollum's Song' for the LOTR movies.

She DOES kind of talk like that, it's NOT a fake voice, and the only reason anyone dislikes her is because they can't open their minds enough to understand her. The Milk-Eyed Mender is a masterpiece, you just have to listen to it with the right ears. You don't even listen to Joanna Newsom enough to post such an opinionated blog about her, anyway, you've heard like, three songs in my car?

ReplyDeleteJoanna Newsom did sing Gollum's Song on The Two Tower's soundtrack. So I don't know if you were trolling or said that out of some crazy coincidence but she was on there all right. And she has a gorgeous voice.
